Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data we collect at www.esoterium.com, what we use it for, how long we keep it and what you can do about it.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller is Esoterium, owner of the website www.esoterium.com. For anything concerning your data you can write to info@esoterium.com.
2. What data we collect
- Your account details: name, email address and password, which is stored encrypted and cannot be read by anyone. If you choose to provide them, also your date of birth and a profile picture.
- If you sign in with Google: the identifier Google returns to us along with your name and email. We neither receive nor store your Google password.
- Your activity in the games: the questions you write and the answers you receive, plus a short summary of your previous consultations that allows your readings to follow on from one another.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and session identifier, needed to keep you signed in, prevent abuse and detect errors.
- Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe, and whether our messages are delivered successfully.
3. What we use it for, and on what legal basis

4. How long we keep it
- Questions and answers from the games: 90 days, after which they are deleted automatically.
- Technical logs: 30 days.
- Your account details: for as long as the account remains active. If you ask us to delete it, they are erased.
- Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe, which you can do from the link included in every message.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data or pass it to third parties for their own purposes. We do work with providers who process it on our behalf and under contract:
- Google: audience measurement, advertising, sign-in identification, and infrastructure and content generation services. The questions you write in the games are processed through these services in order to produce the answer.
- YouTube: videos are embedded in restricted mode, which sets no cookies until you click to play.
- Our hosting provider, which keeps the servers where the site resides.
Some of these providers are located outside the European Economic Area. In those cases the transfer relies on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
6. Your rights
You may ask us at any time to access your data, correct it if inaccurate, erase it, restrict or object to its processing, and receive it in a portable format. Just write to info@esoterium.com from the address linked to your account.
If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
7. Cookies
We use our own cookies to remember your language and keep you signed in, and third-party cookies to measure use of the site and display advertising. The latter are only activated if you accept them. Full details are in the Cookie Policy.
8. Minors
The service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from minors; if we find that an account belongs to a minor, we delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we amend this policy we will publish the updated version here. Where a change affects you significantly and you are registered, we will notify you by email.
